Ever so charming.

After weeks of waiting I finally got my hands on the charm bracelet that my brother and sisters got for my birthday. When they orginally bought it my stubby little wrists were just that bit too big, but now it is an absolutely perfect fit.

I wore it out for dinner tonight with my outfit for a Mother's Day meal with Mum and the family. Had an absolutely lovely evening and spoilt her rotten really. Here's the rest of my outfit:

Cardigan - New Look
Necklace - Topshop

This French Connection dress was a bargain in the sales over the Christmas break at just £25 and I really don't wear it enough. It's definitely a 'confident day' dress as it's bodycon and shows every curve. However I felt really comfortable today wearing it with a loose fit cardy to give it a slightly more casual feel (and hide those after dinner bumps!)

I also went with a bright red nail colour to give the look a splash of brightness.

Rimmel London Lycra Pro - Hot Gossip

I absolutely adore this colour - it's gorgeously seductive. I have a few different shades in the Rimmel London Lycra Pro range and I really love it. It glides on really professionally and the wider brush makes it perfect for when you don't have too much time to spare. I recommend that every nail varnish addict purchases one.

Hope you all spoiled your Mums today and have had a lovely weekend.

Tee-Total.

This weekend has certainly been that. I've hardly been outside of my house due to revision and it's been awful but hopefully this Wednesday exam will come round quickly.

Anyway, I've often spoken before about how an outfit can change your mood and that has really been needed this weekend. So, as per usual I threw on a quirky tee this morning and let it brighten up my day.

This is one of my personal faves. Sometimes it's nice to look in the mirror and laugh for the right reasons!

Here are some of my other graphic tees...

Big Apple Tee - New Look
Horton Hears a Who Tee - eBay

I love hugs tee - New Look
Impossible Love tee - Topshop

I've been on the hunt for a few new tees recently and Look magazine gave me the perfect website! Truffle Shuffle had LOADS of graphic tees and I have fallen in love with a few already.

For Diet Coke addicts everywhere - £20

£25

£17.99

£24.99

£24.99

How cute are they?! When they're at quite affordable prices like this I don't quite know how to resist. That Dot Cotton Tee really tickles my funny bone. Gotta love Dot ♥

What do you think about graphic tees?

Some of the celebs seem to be loving them!

Agyness Deyn showing off her Henry Holland tee!

I PROMISE the vintage post soon.

Flashing by at the speed of light...

...literally today. My family are on their way to Bournemouth and for the first time pretty much ever they are early. Usually they turn up about an hour late so this is extremely good progress for them.

So here's a quick outfit post.

Cardigan - Primark (From an earlier post, click here to read it)
Black cami top - H&M
Floral stretch-hareem trousers - Warehouse
Necklace - Miss Selfridge
Lace sandals - Topshop (From my lovely Grandma ♥)

Blazer - New Look
Heels - River Island

I have found that this outfit also dresses up quite nicely as well by just adding some neutral Prada-inspired-chunky spring heels and a blazer. I think it might be my choice of outfit next time I am out for a few cocktails.

The floral hareems have become one of my favourite wardrobe items. They are so comfortable for just lazing around in but the floral pattern makes me feel that bit more dressed up for when I am heading out the door. They do tend to go a little baggy at the knees (as you can slightly see) which drives me a bit crazy.

I'm still going to wear them out to dinner tonight with my blazer and lace sandals though. I just love them.

Right that's it for today my lovelies!

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday evening.

What have you got planned over the weekend?

Curing those revision blues

Hello lovelies!

At the moment my days are really full of revision, shorthand and various other bits of uni work so I apologise for the short posts. I have a few bigger ones planned so keep an eye out if you want to read about some of my favourite new vintage finds. You know you want to ;)

Anyway, here is my outfit for the day. My revision is mostly based around global politics and everything that is wrong with the world so bright clothing is a must to keep my spirits up. Journalism is sure going to make my cynical y'know.

Did you notice this nail colour is the one from my post the other day? Turns out H&M nail polish has great staying power, I'm only going to be removing it this evening. Check out my review here.

Cardigan - New Look
Orange floral bow top - H&M
Leggings - Next
Floral pumps - New Look

Would you believe those floral pumps were only £6.99 from New Look?! With my student discount they were my best bargain buy in a long time. They go with almost any brightly coloured spring top so they are ideal for this time of year, although my feet did feel the heat as I was walking to uni in the sunshine earlier.

I am also in love with this clock necklace. You would think I would have been using it to time my revision periods but unfortunately the only downside to this accessory is that the clock face is not real which I have always preferred. Then again I have often found in the past that these clock necklaces do not seem to have a long working life anyway, so maybe that is not such a bad thing?

What do you guys think - does it have to be the real deal to be fashionable?

Hope you've all had a lovely day - check back this weekend for some bigger and better posts.

It's so great to have a few of you following and commenting regularly already.

Spread my wings and fly away

Hi there!

Here's my outfit for today...

I ♥ Toy Story

Cardigan - New Look
Butterfly-wing top - Garden Collection at H&M
Shorts - New Look
Tights - Primark
Hot air balloon necklace - Accessorize

I got this Garden Collection butterfly-wing top from H&M in the summer last year and it has become one of my wardrobe favourites. The gorgeous light peach colour is great for the summer time and it's loose fit makes it so comfortable and cool to wear. I'm usually not a fan of such loose-fitting clothing as I think it can sometimes make me look bigger than I am. But by teaming it with tights and shorts I think it balances the outift out quite well.

The bow tights from Primark were a TOTAL bargain at just £1 in the sale. It seems they were there as they are just a bit too thick to wear in the summer but they are perfect for this time of year when there is still a bit of a breeze hanging around.

I wish this outfit really could fly me away. More than ever I am feeling a need to get out of the country and have a holiday. I didn't get out of the UK at all last year which was so disappointing as travelling around and discovering new places is something that I would love to do more of. I definitely need to start saving some pennies next term to make this possible.

Luckily, in just TWO WEEKS AND TWO DAYS I am off to Paris for the day with my family. I am so excited I can hardly contain it. It's only a day but we plan to squeeze in as much as possible - any recommendations of where we should go? If you know of any good boutique shops I would love some recommendations?

I even have a Paris tee that I think I am going to have to wear. Don't worry though - I won't go too over-the-top-Carrie-Bradshaw on you all. I'm not sure I could pull it off!

Smells a bit like Daisies ♥

Afternoon lovelies.

Hope you're enjoying a relaxing Sunday. I'm so happy to finally have some sunshine back in my life! For the first time this year I have hung my washing out on the line in the garden so things can only get brighter from here.

A beautiful day like today seems like the perfect time to introduce you to my new perfume. You can just imagine my excitement when this bag arrived with my sister on Friday night.

My Dad got me Daisy Eau So Fresh by Marc Jacobs as a birthday present and I am in love with it. You might remember my Mum got me Lola as well so apparently great minds think alike and I've got to say it's great to have a bit of variety. Before last week my student budget only allowed me to get a £15 perfume on sale and I was really feeling like it was time for a change!

Daisy Eau So Fresh as you might expect is a very sweet, fruity and floral fragrance which is great for this time of year. You can probably tell that it is making me very excited for summer and it's oh so refreshing when you first spray it on in the mornings. The really great thing about Daisy is that it isn't that over-powering sweetness that I have found with some perfumes in the past - but it doesn't disappear either. I get lovely wafts of the bubbly scent throughout the day which brighten my mood almost instantly.

I think it will be Lola that will be my night-time fragrance though. There's just something sexy about this perfume which actually makes me feel quite confident. Who knows whether it is that seductive purple bottle or the deeper fruity fragrance. The whole package just makes it perfect for when I want to feel slightly more glamorous.

So, I have Daisy to feel effortlessly girly and fun during the day and Lola for the woman I'm turning into. What more appropriate presents could you need for a 20th birthday?!

I advise you to save up those prescious pennies and invest in Marc Jacobs, turns out I am a big fan.

p.s. Here's my spring outfit for today - girly to go with my perfume! ;)

Denim shirt, black stretch hareems, graphic New York tee - New Look
Lace hair band - Miss Selfridge

What do you guys think? I do love a quirky t-shirt and it went really well with my new lace sandals!

Celebrations.

Hi there!

Hope you're all having a nice weekend.

Just popping in to show you my party outfit as promised. You'll have to excuse the slightly tipsy photos - far too much of that birthday cocktail jug was consumed but we all had a lot of fun.

Me and my gorgeous sister Annie

Shorts and bracelets - Miss Selfridge
Ring - New Look
Nails - Nails Inc.
Tights - Primark

I can't believe I am actually 20! Last night I did a pretty good job of being very teenage with my drinking and have not felt well at all today. Might as well say goodbye to my teenage years with as little grace as possible really.

Interestingly I actually feel 20 which is a little depressing. I no longer feel like a teenager but then that's probably good timing seeing as September will bring the beginning of my final university year.

Tomorrow will be the start of my responsible adult life - really need to crack on with my revision. But I might just have to stop by to show you my second lovely new perfume! Words cannot describe how utterly spoilt I have been this week. I am a lucky lucky lady.

Sorry it's a short one today, I am still completely shattered from last night. I promise a bigger one soon.

recovering.

Hello ladies :)

Hope you're having a nice day. I've been suffering from a serious wine headache so it's taken me a while to get up and around to posting!

I went out with my housemates last night and we all got dressed up for our friend Stuart's 20th. We had SUCH a good night but boyyy have I suffered today.

This is my dress from Desire clothing which is SO comfortable to wear. It's got loads of give but is lace-look and has a real vintage feel to it. A fitted dress wasn't the best idea with a bottle of wine though - doesn't hide the bloating very well at all!

Sophie (on the left) is wearing the leather-look skirt I wrote about in an earlier post and my housemate Laura (on the right) is wearing a body-con khaki dress from H&M. These two always look gorgeous on night's out - major figure envy. With those bodies I think they can make almost anything look good!

I painted my nails with this Plum Nails Inc polish which I got for FREE when I bought two bottles of Diet Coke in Boots a few weeks ago. Couldn't believe my luck...I love diet coke and this colour is gorgeously seductive - one of my absolute favourite freebies!

A night like that required a comfortable outfit today. I went for a quirky top and chunky cardy to bring me out of my hangover mood. Did the trick quite well really...I was back to my normal self in no time. It's funny how an outfit can change your mood.

Top - H&M
Cardigan - Miss Selfridge
Hairband - New Look

Apologies for the hungover-no-make-up face, I've tried to hide it as much as possible!

I'm really looking forwards to tomorrow. My mum, nan, brother and sisters are coming for a bit of an early birthday celebration. We're going shopping (so hopefully I'll have some new bits to share with you) and then for a beach walk before going to TGI's for a big dinner. What are you guys doing this weekend? Hope you're having a good one.

Pancakes pancakes pancakes!

Evening!

Hope you're all enjoying pancake day! My housemate and I put our best efforts into making some for ourselves but it didn't exactly go to plan. You really would've thought that two 19-year-old's would be able to cook pancakes for themselves by now but I think it looks a lot easier than it is! We got there eventually...by eventually I mean about two hours later! They were so so scrummy though. It's a good thing I was wearing my stretchy floral hareems or I do not think I would be able to move right now. I have a serious pancake baby.

First few attempts. :s

Success! Golden syrup...yummy! How do you guys have yours?!

Demonstrating my flipping skills in my favourite floral hareems - Warehouse sale - just £9!! (Bargain alert!)
Cardigan - New Look

My Vestry heels also arrived today! I am SO happy with them. They are exactly as I expected...lovely chunky heel, soft velvet finish - beautiful! Plan to wear them out with my Desire Clothing dress which I haven't even worn yet. There really is nothing better than a timeless, comfortable pair of heels. Every short almost-20-year-old girl/woman's best friend. Yes, it's my birthday next week and I am slowly learning to accept that this makes me officially not a teenager, and therefore perhaps not a girl...but a woman?! OH GOOOOODNESS! (note - Happy International Women's Day btw! ;])

Lace off-shoulder dress - Desire Clothing

Can't wait for Friday. Having a night out with some of my best friends. I always get a little snap happy when we're out so I'm sure there'll be plenty of photos to show you how this look works out.

Thanks for reading lovelies!

I'll post again soon!
