Cutie Pie.

Hi guys,

Sorry for the lack of posts recently - I have had an absolute mountain of work to do and so blogging had to take a back seat. But the good news is that I handed in the last of it today and should now be posting much more regularly.

Anyway, those of you who have followed for a while will know that I have a complete weakness for quirky jewellery. I am always looking for news places to find something a bit different and on reading some of my favourite fashion mags I came across Cutie Pie Jewellery. Here are some pieces that caught my eye:

Afternoon tea necklace - £16

Paparazzi camera charm necklace - £12.50

You shall go to the ball necklace - £8

Golden compass vintage necklace - £16

Story time - £25 (down from £42) - As worn by Jameela Jamil at Fashion Week!

I particularly love the kettle-clock necklace - SO cute, just as the name suggests.

The great thing about individual websites such as Cutie Pie is that everything is home-made, in this case by the obviously talented Danielle Butler. So the jewellery that you receive could be exclusive, or at least limited edition - giving it that extra special feel and meaning that you won't see your latest purchase on every other girl on the high street. I think that it's great to support businesses like this and lovely to know that extra care went into creating these beautiful pieces.

It's safe to say that Cutie Pie has been added to my favourites, and will no doubt be making a dent in my ever-decreasing bank account.

Yeah, Yayer.

I'm sure many of you have heard of Yayer before and I have definitely mentioned the website in previous posts - but with it being the official British SUMMER TIME (yay!) there seems no more appropriate time to dedicate a whole post to their beatiful items.

I must admit I found the website through another wonderful blogger, but I just haven't looked back since. It not only has a hugely character-filled vintage section, but a modern section also and a lookbook to show you how to put their pieces together.

Here are a couple of my favourite styles from their Lookbook:

I am especially in love with this second skirt. These bright colours teamed with the retro style go brilliantly with the blazer to create an effortlessly quirky look that even the less brave could pull off. I want to be able to wear this look out tomorrow!

Yayer also has many, many more classic items. (oh gosh my bank account is going to be so very empty)

Vintage loves ♥ :

Words cannot describe how much I want to own this playsuit. Not only does it look like the most comfortable outfit that would ever float around my curves, the patchwork style is just adorable. I would probably team this playsuit with my extremely retro jellies and my new H&M sunnies. If only it was in my size...dammit.

How much do you love the summer fringe trend?! I think they give these shorts that extra edge that makes them ideal for the festival season.

I know, I know...we are getting further away from the winter months as I type. But that does not make me love this cardigan any less. I adore the bright colours and over-sized cosy fit. Perhaps they will be just right for those summer nights when I want to snuggle up around a bonfire with my friends...

Modern loves ♥ :

I'm thinking that this could be my equivilent to the Lookbook styles above. With a loose-fit black vest and a blazer I think it's very achievable at an extremely reasonable price.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a playsuit more appropriate for summer. I love the neutral body colour. Hopefully it should stop my skin from looking quite as pastey as it actually is. I think it would look great with my gladiator sandals - what do you think?

Accessories ♥ :

The perfect summer bag - goes with everything, has bags (geddit?) of character and has a long strap to hang elegantly by your dresses.

All in all, you've gotta give it to them - Yayer are really pulling out all the stops this season. You can get a completely individual style which you can be assured you won't see around every corner as you would with a normal high street outfit and they give you a chance to add that quirkiness that your summer wardrobe really needs.

It's time to start saving those precious pennies, ladies. I know I will.

What do you love on Yayer at the moment?

Curing those revision blues

Hello lovelies!

At the moment my days are really full of revision, shorthand and various other bits of uni work so I apologise for the short posts. I have a few bigger ones planned so keep an eye out if you want to read about some of my favourite new vintage finds. You know you want to ;)

Anyway, here is my outfit for the day. My revision is mostly based around global politics and everything that is wrong with the world so bright clothing is a must to keep my spirits up. Journalism is sure going to make my cynical y'know.

Did you notice this nail colour is the one from my post the other day? Turns out H&M nail polish has great staying power, I'm only going to be removing it this evening. Check out my review here.

Cardigan - New Look
Orange floral bow top - H&M
Leggings - Next
Floral pumps - New Look

Would you believe those floral pumps were only £6.99 from New Look?! With my student discount they were my best bargain buy in a long time. They go with almost any brightly coloured spring top so they are ideal for this time of year, although my feet did feel the heat as I was walking to uni in the sunshine earlier.

I am also in love with this clock necklace. You would think I would have been using it to time my revision periods but unfortunately the only downside to this accessory is that the clock face is not real which I have always preferred. Then again I have often found in the past that these clock necklaces do not seem to have a long working life anyway, so maybe that is not such a bad thing?

What do you guys think - does it have to be the real deal to be fashionable?

Hope you've all had a lovely day - check back this weekend for some bigger and better posts.

It's so great to have a few of you following and commenting regularly already.

Love Sami xx
