Leggy blonde.

Well, I am not so leggy to be honest - never have been. But more recently I have been starting to experiment a bit more with statement tights and I really like how they can instantly change an outfit.

Here are a dotty pair from Primark that I wore the other day:

I wore them with a topshop tee and high-waisted shorts from Miss Selfridge and I think that they made the outfit really fun.

I'm not used to drawing so much attention to my legs as they have always been a problem area but once I got used to the occasional person's eye darting at the pattern I found myself getting extremely comfortable. But now we have a problem - I just can't stop wanting more...

Miss Selfridge Black Lace Panel Tights - £8

Topshop Black All Over Heart Hold Ups - £8.50

Topshop Rose Lace Tights - £12

Topshop Black Armour Net Tights - £12

Pretty Polly Lace Tights from mytights.com - £6.25

House of Holland for Pretty Polly at asos.com - £15

I want, I want, I want, I want, I want!!

This last photo is my favourite and it really makes me want that denim skirt. I am looking at it as more of an investment - a skirt that goes with everything and is suitable for all seasons is definitely a worthy one.

Sorry I haven't been blogging as regularly recently. I had a big exam yesterday morning but now that is well and truly out of the way. I also got some brilliant news today. I have been accepted onto the Broadcast Training Programme for the Olympics next year, which means my initial application was successful and I am through to the next stage. If I get the job then I will be gathering news at the Olympics which makes me very excited. A good stepping stone in my journalism career.

There's nothing like lots of Diet Coke and good news to bring you out of your celebrations hangover.

Yeah, Yayer.

I'm sure many of you have heard of Yayer before and I have definitely mentioned the website in previous posts - but with it being the official British SUMMER TIME (yay!) there seems no more appropriate time to dedicate a whole post to their beatiful items.

I must admit I found the website through another wonderful blogger, but I just haven't looked back since. It not only has a hugely character-filled vintage section, but a modern section also and a lookbook to show you how to put their pieces together.

Here are a couple of my favourite styles from their Lookbook:

I am especially in love with this second skirt. These bright colours teamed with the retro style go brilliantly with the blazer to create an effortlessly quirky look that even the less brave could pull off. I want to be able to wear this look out tomorrow!

Yayer also has many, many more classic items. (oh gosh my bank account is going to be so very empty)

Vintage loves ♥ :

Words cannot describe how much I want to own this playsuit. Not only does it look like the most comfortable outfit that would ever float around my curves, the patchwork style is just adorable. I would probably team this playsuit with my extremely retro jellies and my new H&M sunnies. If only it was in my size...dammit.

How much do you love the summer fringe trend?! I think they give these shorts that extra edge that makes them ideal for the festival season.

I know, I know...we are getting further away from the winter months as I type. But that does not make me love this cardigan any less. I adore the bright colours and over-sized cosy fit. Perhaps they will be just right for those summer nights when I want to snuggle up around a bonfire with my friends...

Modern loves ♥ :

I'm thinking that this could be my equivilent to the Lookbook styles above. With a loose-fit black vest and a blazer I think it's very achievable at an extremely reasonable price.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a playsuit more appropriate for summer. I love the neutral body colour. Hopefully it should stop my skin from looking quite as pastey as it actually is. I think it would look great with my gladiator sandals - what do you think?

Accessories ♥ :

The perfect summer bag - goes with everything, has bags (geddit?) of character and has a long strap to hang elegantly by your dresses.

All in all, you've gotta give it to them - Yayer are really pulling out all the stops this season. You can get a completely individual style which you can be assured you won't see around every corner as you would with a normal high street outfit and they give you a chance to add that quirkiness that your summer wardrobe really needs.

It's time to start saving those precious pennies, ladies. I know I will.

What do you love on Yayer at the moment?

Tee-Total.

This weekend has certainly been that. I've hardly been outside of my house due to revision and it's been awful but hopefully this Wednesday exam will come round quickly.

Anyway, I've often spoken before about how an outfit can change your mood and that has really been needed this weekend. So, as per usual I threw on a quirky tee this morning and let it brighten up my day.

This is one of my personal faves. Sometimes it's nice to look in the mirror and laugh for the right reasons!

Here are some of my other graphic tees...

Big Apple Tee - New Look
Horton Hears a Who Tee - eBay

I love hugs tee - New Look
Impossible Love tee - Topshop

I've been on the hunt for a few new tees recently and Look magazine gave me the perfect website! Truffle Shuffle had LOADS of graphic tees and I have fallen in love with a few already.

For Diet Coke addicts everywhere - £20

£25

£17.99

£24.99

£24.99

How cute are they?! When they're at quite affordable prices like this I don't quite know how to resist. That Dot Cotton Tee really tickles my funny bone. Gotta love Dot ♥

What do you think about graphic tees?

Some of the celebs seem to be loving them!

Agyness Deyn showing off her Henry Holland tee!

I PROMISE the vintage post soon.

Flashing by at the speed of light...

...literally today. My family are on their way to Bournemouth and for the first time pretty much ever they are early. Usually they turn up about an hour late so this is extremely good progress for them.

So here's a quick outfit post.

Cardigan - Primark (From an earlier post, click here to read it)
Black cami top - H&M
Floral stretch-hareem trousers - Warehouse
Necklace - Miss Selfridge
Lace sandals - Topshop (From my lovely Grandma ♥)

Blazer - New Look
Heels - River Island

I have found that this outfit also dresses up quite nicely as well by just adding some neutral Prada-inspired-chunky spring heels and a blazer. I think it might be my choice of outfit next time I am out for a few cocktails.

The floral hareems have become one of my favourite wardrobe items. They are so comfortable for just lazing around in but the floral pattern makes me feel that bit more dressed up for when I am heading out the door. They do tend to go a little baggy at the knees (as you can slightly see) which drives me a bit crazy.

I'm still going to wear them out to dinner tonight with my blazer and lace sandals though. I just love them.

Right that's it for today my lovelies!

Hope you all have a wonderful Friday evening.

What have you got planned over the weekend?

Sami xx

Ooh la la Miss Osbourne.

Don't you think Sharon and Ozzy's girl looks great?

Proving that girls don't have to have absolutely tiny legs to get them out for summer, I think she looks fantastic. I am particularly loving the floral skirt with those gorgeous white, chunky spring heels. It's nice to see her bursting with colour when some of her looks in the past have been so dark. It seems to be a theme with all of her looks for Madonna's new collection Material Girl - let's hope she keeps it up!

Curing those revision blues

Hello lovelies!

At the moment my days are really full of revision, shorthand and various other bits of uni work so I apologise for the short posts. I have a few bigger ones planned so keep an eye out if you want to read about some of my favourite new vintage finds. You know you want to ;)

Anyway, here is my outfit for the day. My revision is mostly based around global politics and everything that is wrong with the world so bright clothing is a must to keep my spirits up. Journalism is sure going to make my cynical y'know.

Did you notice this nail colour is the one from my post the other day? Turns out H&M nail polish has great staying power, I'm only going to be removing it this evening. Check out my review here.

Cardigan - New Look
Orange floral bow top - H&M
Leggings - Next
Floral pumps - New Look

Would you believe those floral pumps were only £6.99 from New Look?! With my student discount they were my best bargain buy in a long time. They go with almost any brightly coloured spring top so they are ideal for this time of year, although my feet did feel the heat as I was walking to uni in the sunshine earlier.

I am also in love with this clock necklace. You would think I would have been using it to time my revision periods but unfortunately the only downside to this accessory is that the clock face is not real which I have always preferred. Then again I have often found in the past that these clock necklaces do not seem to have a long working life anyway, so maybe that is not such a bad thing?

What do you guys think - does it have to be the real deal to be fashionable?

Hope you've all had a lovely day - check back this weekend for some bigger and better posts.

It's so great to have a few of you following and commenting regularly already.

Summer lovin'

Hiya ladies :)

I know it isn't quite summer yet but it definitely felt like it today. The weather was absolutely beautiful and for the first time this year I decided it was time to break out my favourite pair of summer sandals and hit the beach. Obviously it wasn't warm enough for any more than a paddle (and my housemate and I were too wimpy to even do that!) but it was lovely to sit on the sand doing my revision. It made me so much more relaxed than I would have been doing it at home and an ice cream break was perfect for refreshing my frazzled brain cells. Sunshine just puts a smile right back on my face.

I also managed to take some time to get a few summery snaps for you...

Bournemouth beach

Feet buried in the sand! And the legs of my lovely Primark jumpsuit as seen in 'Primark bled me dry.'

Trying out my cute new H&M sunnies

My FAVOURITE sandals.
From Aldo

Relaxing day in the sun wouldn't be the same without a can of the good stuff.

Hope you've all had an equally lovely day - how have you been celebrating the sunshine?

Sorry it's a short one today, revision is starting to take over my life.

Spread my wings and fly away

Hi there!

Here's my outfit for today...

I ♥ Toy Story

Cardigan - New Look
Butterfly-wing top - Garden Collection at H&M
Shorts - New Look
Tights - Primark
Hot air balloon necklace - Accessorize

I got this Garden Collection butterfly-wing top from H&M in the summer last year and it has become one of my wardrobe favourites. The gorgeous light peach colour is great for the summer time and it's loose fit makes it so comfortable and cool to wear. I'm usually not a fan of such loose-fitting clothing as I think it can sometimes make me look bigger than I am. But by teaming it with tights and shorts I think it balances the outift out quite well.

The bow tights from Primark were a TOTAL bargain at just £1 in the sale. It seems they were there as they are just a bit too thick to wear in the summer but they are perfect for this time of year when there is still a bit of a breeze hanging around.

I wish this outfit really could fly me away. More than ever I am feeling a need to get out of the country and have a holiday. I didn't get out of the UK at all last year which was so disappointing as travelling around and discovering new places is something that I would love to do more of. I definitely need to start saving some pennies next term to make this possible.

Luckily, in just TWO WEEKS AND TWO DAYS I am off to Paris for the day with my family. I am so excited I can hardly contain it. It's only a day but we plan to squeeze in as much as possible - any recommendations of where we should go? If you know of any good boutique shops I would love some recommendations?

I even have a Paris tee that I think I am going to have to wear. Don't worry though - I won't go too over-the-top-Carrie-Bradshaw on you all. I'm not sure I could pull it off!

EEEEK - Can't wait!
